COURSE OVERVIEW
This course can be run as a one day standalone course. The course is also included on the third day of the FSRU Systems and STS Operations course. The course is designed to to improve the knowledge, understanding and skills of those persons who will be engaged in ship to ship transfer operations.
The main areas of focus include the reasons for undertaking STS and then the procedures for the preparation, planning and risk assessments that have to be implemented, taking into account the roles and responsibilities of all parties and the responses that may have to be implemented in the event of an emergency. The cours includes comparisons between the operations conducted in both the LNG and Oil industries and why there may be differences in approach.
